A nonce is your own ‘transaction count’, and it’s a direct property of your address. Meaning, if the blockchain says your nonce is 23, transactions with any other nonce value will either get rejected by the network or won’t be processed.
To double-check your current nonce value, you can look up your address on Etherscan directly from the ETH balance.
